Welcome to Growing Minds Tutoring Services! My name is Bethany Miller, and I am the founder and primary tutor. I graduated from American University in 2019 with a Master of Arts in Special Education: Learning Disabilities. I have extensive educational experience, including training in Orton-Gillingham, Multisensory Math, The Writing Revolution, and Illustrative Mathematics. I have a deep content knowledge and understanding of effective academic interventions and best practices in reading, writing, and math for grades K-9.

From 2018-2023, I worked at an independent school in Washington, DC, teaching 5th and 6th grade students with learning differences. Additionally, I have provided individual tutoring in reading, writing, and mathematics to over 50 students, ranging from grades PreK-10, over the past six years. From this, I have developed and refined my strong educational knowledge and applications. I believe that all students can learn and achieve high levels of success, and that the services I provide are the stepping stones in order to reach this.
